CV. Mitra Tani Farm dirintis pada tahun 2002 oleh beberapa alumni IPB (Institut Pertanian Bogor) dan dilegalkan tahun 2004. Pada mulanya, Mitra Tani Farm atau yang lebih dikenal dengan MT Farm hanya fokus dibidang penjualan hewan kurban saja, seiring dengan berjalannya waktu dan meningkatnya kebutuhan pasar, maka MT Farm membuat kandang dengan kapasitas 1.000 ekor kambing & domba serta 150 ekor sapi. Ditambah lagi dengan banyaknya alumni IPB dan peternak yang mengajukan kerjasama dengan MT Farm untuk menjualkan hasil ternak mereka sehingga MT Farm bisa membantu memenuhi kebutuhan pasar yang jauh lebih tinggi dari kapasitas produksi MT Farm.
