As part of promoting Indonesian products to global market, President Joko Widodo will attend National Day at the international event, Dubai Expo 2020, in United Arab Emirate (UAE) scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021.
This National Day event will take place at Al Wasl Plaza, Dubai.
President Jokowi’s presence will strengthen Indonesia’s participation in the global-scale expo and, simultaneously, it will be part of Indonesia’s active role in the effort to mitigate climate change through COP26 Summit in Glasgow, Scotland.
“The presence of President Jokowi and some ministers at National Day [at Dubai Expo] shows our commitment to maintaining good relations with the United Arab Emirates as the organizer of Dubai Expo 2020 and as Indonesia’s strategic partner in the Middle East. Besides, the visit of the President also aims to continue bilateral cooperation through the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement Indonesia-UAE [CEPA-IUAE], which provides opportunity for Indonesia to have its potentials exposed globally,” said Trade Minister M. Lutfi in a press statement.
President Jokowi will be accompanied by de facto ruler of UAE, Prince Mohammed bin Zayed, to directly witness the remarkable Indonesia in the Middle East. Also, the Indonesian government through the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry will launch an initiative called “Indonesia Spice Up The World” to introduce Indonesia’s spices to the world and to help open trade to global market.
Meanwhile, bringing “Land of Diversity” concept, the celebration of the National Day Indonesia will highlight the history of Indonesia’s wealth of the past while introduce the potential and opportunity of Indonesia to the world today and the country’s preparation for Indonesia Gold in 2045.
All of them will be put in one spectacular art and cultural show involving the best performers, including young singer Lyodra Ginting.
National Day Indonesia will take place at Al Wasl Plaza, World Expo 2020 Dubai on Nov. 4, 2021, starting mulai pukul at 6 p.m. local time, or 9 p.m. western Indonesia time. Through the National Day, the global attention will focus on how rich and diverse Indonesia’s potential is. It will open broader opportunity for all parties to forge strategic relations for the long term in trade, investment and tourism sectors. (KH)
Besides, National Day will also help boost more visitors to Indonesia Pavilion at Dubai Expo, which is a global window to know Indonesia’s potential deeper. Indonesia has targeted the number of visitors to 2.5 million people, or 10 percent of the total visitors to the Expo. To achieve that, Indonesia offers 26 weekly themes, more than 75 business forums and 300 types of ready for export products. (KH)
