Paving Block / conblock is one of the precast concrete products that we often encounter on residential streets, shophouses, malls, warehousing areas and other locations.

For some people, it may be assumed that all types of paving blocks or conblocks have the same function and can be used for all road conditions. However, technically it is not like that, because the strength of paving blocks is determined by the composition of the aggregate and how to make it. With the same material mixture, paving blocks that are produced with a hydraulic press will produce blocks with a higher quality concrete than those that are printed manually, because paving that is pressed in hydraulic press has a higher density.

Types of Paving Block / Conblock according to SNI 03-0691-1996 standards are divided based on the classification as follows:

1. A quality concrete brick: used for roads (Paving blocks with a compressive strength of 400 Kg / cm2 (K400) or more.)
2. B quality concrete brick: used for parking lots (Paving blocks with a compressive strength of 200 Kg / cm2 (K200))
3. C quality concrete brick: used for pedestrians (Paving blocks with a compressive strength of 150 Kg / cm2 (K150))
4. D quality concrete bricks: used for gardens and other applications (Paving blocks with a compressive strength of 100 Kg / cm2 (K100))

MB type blocks are suitable for use in residential clusters, public parking lots, shop houses and other commercial areas. The second type is Masterblock Platinum (MP) for heavy duty applications. This type of MP block is suitable for extreme road load conditions such as warehousing areas, ports, public roads and other areas that are frequently traversed by heavy vehicles.
